TEACHING FELLOW IN GENERAL & ACUTE MEDICINE
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a one or two year Teaching Fellow Post in General and Acute Medicine, starting in August 2018, primarily based at QMC Campus. This post would be ideal for any junior doctor with experience in medical specialties (including A&E), who has an interest in medical education and wants to develop this further. It would be particularly suited for a trainee after F2 training, between core medical and higher training or for a higher specialist trainee as an Out of Programme for Experience.
The principal role of the post holder will be to deliver teaching on the General Medicine Course (CP1 & CP3). The post holder will also contribute to both the delivery of the teaching and develop new initiatives in medical student teaching. The feedback from medical students on this course is of a very high standard, so we are looking both to maintain and enhance the reputation of both the course and the Department.
There is also the opportunity to gain a higher degree by working towards the Masters in Medical Education, which the Trust will provide support with. We also actively encourage our Teaching Fellows to be innovative in their teaching practice and there is also ample opportunity within the Department to present locally, regionally and nationally at medical education conferences.
You must have appropriate UK professional registration.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
