Applications are sought for the post of Head of Service within the Department of Spiritual and Pastoral Care of Nottingham University Hospitals.

The post holder will already have management experience, extensive experience of working to band 6 level, as a whole-time Chaplain in the NUHT, working within an ecumenical and multi-faith setting, providing spiritual and pastoral care for patients, relatives and staff.

The post holder will have up-to-date knowledge of spiritual healthcare and its application to an acute setting. He/she will lead the provision of Chaplaincy services within the Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust, working with the Head of Service to support and develop the team of Chaplains and volunteers in extending the provision of care in a challenging situation. He/she will be capable of taking on a caseload of patients with spiritual, pastoral and religious needs from both within and beyond his/her own faith or belief tradition.

The post offers a particularly strong opportunity as a senior chaplain in one of the larger Chaplaincy departments in the country.

The post holder will be based at the Queens Medical Centre Campus but is required to cover all sites as operational reasons dictate.
