An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Surgical Division at Nottingham University Hospital Trust for a ward receptionist for 30 hours per week.

You will be working on our Major Trauma Unit. Every day is different - challenging but rewarding. We pride ourselves on team work, learning and being forward thinking. Expectations to deliver a high standard of service with patient safety and quality are our priority. In this role you will be a valuable member of the team who can communicate effectively with patients and their relatives.
We are a 18 bedded unit that is fast paced and cares for a varied range of patients with multiple traumatic injuries.

As part of the ward team you will often be the first point of contact that patients and visitors have when entering the ward so a friendly welcoming smile is essential. Excellent communication skills are essential not only with the public, but that of the multidisciplinary team.

The role requires a high level of use of the hospitals computers and IT systems.

As a caring and positive person you will need to be able to work as part of an established team, have the ability to work flexibly and be committed to ensuring the smooth running of reception. Priorities are ever changing and you should have a problem solving approach to this.
